The Annual General Meeting, or AGM, will be held a on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at 7:00pm at the R Vida Cantina located at 7040 Sunrise Blvd. in Citrus Heights, near the corner of Sunrise Blvd. and Woodmore Oaks Dr. (in the Food Maxx shopping center).  Google directions can be found here.

The AGM is our once-a-year meeting where families, players, parents, coaches, refs, and board members sit down to catch up.

This public meeting is open to everyone… and it’s a great chance to hear what’s going on with soccer in our area (in and around our club), see/meet the board members, consider volunteering, chat with coaches, etc.  If you have any thoughts or ideas, please come and share them.  If you’re curious about anything our club does – or doesn’t do – this is a great opportunity to come and discuss.

In addition to hearing about the “business” of soccer, there are a variety of awards presented as well.  And prizes!  Lots of prizes.  All you have to do to qualify is show up and you’ll get a raffle ticket to snag some sweet swag at no cost to you.

Prior to the AGM, all coaches and referees are invited to a free dinner provided by the club.  Dinner will start at 6:00pm.  So that we are sure to order enough food, referees should let Larry know if they are coming and coaches should let Terry know if they are coming.

The fall soccer season is 10 weeks long (unless your team adds a tournament or two).  The first 5 weeks of the season are now available at the link below:

Please note that you can subscribe (aka: import) game schedules into a calendar (ie: Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, etc.) by clicking on the “Subscribe” button after you click on any division.  In most cases, you will only want to subscribe to the games for your team (and not the entire division).  If you need help finding your team, look for “OYSC” to identify teams from the Orangevale Youth Soccer Club.

The reason that only the first half of the season is published is that the league will assess how teams and doing and move teams up or down a division in an effort to allow teams to play other teams with roughly the same level of skill. Games for the second half of the season will mostly likely be posted the week of September 25, 2022.

Registration for new players to join a recreational soccer team in the Orangevale Youth Soccer Club is now closed.

There are two exceptions to this:

• Girls U12
• Girls U16

If you’re interested in registering a girl for either of these age groups, please reach out to the club registrar via email: registrar@ovalesoccer.org.

For all other ages, we hope that you’ll come back next spring (usually around April/May) when registration for the Fall 2023 season opens up.
