Since 1975, the Orangevale Youth Soccer Club (OYSC) has been serving the community in and around Orangevale by providing a safe and fun environment for families with children between the ages of 4 to 18 to compete in soccer. The Club is a non-profit and volunteer organization.
The board meets throughout the year (nearly monthly) to organize and direct the efforts of our volunteers.
If you’re interested in learning more or attending a board meeting, please contact us.
Since 1975, the Orangevale Youth Soccer Club has proudly offered a robust recreational soccer program to the families of our community. A recreational program emphasizes fun and teamwork. Regardless of the age that your child starts playing soccer, the recreational program is a terrific environment to make new friends and learn to love the game of soccer.
We are happy to offer the following divisions (separated by boys and girls):
The Annual General Meeting, or AGM, will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 6:00pm at the Round Table located at 9500 Greenback Lane in Folsom, near the merging of Madison and Greenback. Google directions can be found here.
The AGM is our once-a-year meeting where families, players, parents, coaches, refs, and board members sit down to catch up.
This public meeting is open to everyone… and it’s a great chance to hear what’s going on with soccer in our area (in and around our club), see/meet the board members, consider volunteering, chat with coaches, etc. If you have any thoughts or ideas, please come and share them. If you’re curious about anything our club does – or doesn’t do – this is a great opportunity to come and discuss.
In addition to hearing about the “business” of soccer, there are a variety of awards presented as well. And prizes! Lots of prizes. All you have to do to qualify is show up and you’ll get a raffle ticket to snag some sweet soccer swag at no cost to you.
Prior to the AGM, all coaches and referees are invited to a free dinner provided by the club. Dinner will start at 5:00pm. So that we are sure to order enough food, referees should let Larry know if they are coming and coaches should let Terry know if they are coming.
We hope to see you there!
OYSC fully supports Measure L, a $24 million General Obligation bond program to upgrade and renovate our parks in the Orangevale Recreation and Park District. These funds will enable improvements for Pecan Park, Almond Park, the Community Center, the Youth Center Park, Orangevale Community Park, and potentially the Sundance and Streng Nature Parks.
Planned upgrades include new playground equipment, shade structures, picnic shelters, and bathrooms. Additionally, improvements will be made to walkways, playground surfaces, tennis courts, softball and soccer fields, pickleball courts and lights, and irrigation. Costs are estimated to be approximately $65 per household per year for property owners.
We hope that you will join us in supporting Measure L on the ballot in November to help ensure that Orangevale remains a great place to live and raise a family.
